ABOUT
A documentary highlighting the hidden histories and stories of women in golf. It will document the varied and inspiring experiences of women in golf, as well as those leading the way in redefining the game.
The image of golf is intrinsically linked to its long history, its heritage and its traditions..... traditions that have positioned golf as a male-dominated sport. The experiences of women in the sport have often been difficult, with stories of prejudice, bias and exclusion.
But.... golf is changing!
In this film, we shine a light on the amazing women and men who are driving that change. We examine the roles that the industry, the media, governing bodies, golf clubs and golfers themselves are playing in shaping the future of the sport.
You will meet women who have broken with tradition, the pioneers making golf their career and a generation of female players whose stories are shocking and endearing in equal quantities. Stories that will make you laugh and cry, that will inspire and motivate!
